These terms apply to the Common Space Coaching website and coaching services provided by Common Space Coaching LLC, operating as Common Space Coaching. A separate coaching agreement may contain additional terms. If a signed coaching agreement conflicts with these general website terms, the signed agreement controls for the applicable services.
Nature and scope of services
Common Space Coaching provides educational, executive-function, and school-life coaching for children, teens, and college students. Coaching is collaborative, practical, and goal-oriented. It may address organization, planning, task initiation, time awareness, emotional regulation, school stress, communication, self-advocacy, friendships, and growing independence.
Coaching is not psychotherapy, clinical counseling, medical care, crisis intervention, diagnosis, treatment, tutoring, legal advice, or psychological or educational evaluation. Coaching does not create a therapist-client or healthcare provider-patient relationship.
Eligibility and minors
Services for a minor require authorization from a parent or legal guardian. Meaningful coaching requires at least some willingness by the student to participate, communicate, or experiment with strategies. Common Space Coaching may decline, pause, or end services when coaching is not an appropriate fit, requested services are outside scope, safety concerns require another level of care, or continued work is not reasonably productive.
Scheduling and service delivery
Appointments are scheduled in advance through Calendly or another agreed method and confirmed electronically. Virtual sessions are conducted via Zoom and require a compatible device, adequate internet connection, and a reasonably private and safe location. In-person sessions may occur at the Common Space Coaching home-based office in Parker, Colorado, or at another mutually agreed public location.
A coaching session is considered delivered when the scheduled session has been completed or when a client misses an appointment that is chargeable under the cancellation policy.
Fees and payment
All fees are quoted and charged in United States dollars (USD). Payment is due at the time of booking. Current public fees are listed on the home page and are confirmed before booking.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Clients may cancel or reschedule an appointment by contacting Common Space Coaching at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
Appointments canceled within the required notice period may be rescheduled to another available time or refunded to the original payment method, at the client’s request.
Appointments canceled with less notice, as well as missed appointments, are charged $50.00. Any exception for an emergency or unusual circumstance is made at the discretion of Common Space Coaching and does not change the general policy.
If Common Space Coaching must cancel an appointment, the client may choose a full refund for that appointment or reschedule at no additional charge.
Refunds and payment disputes
A client may request a refund for an unused appointment before the applicable cancellation deadline. After a coaching session has been delivered, payment is generally nonrefundable. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Banks and card issuers may require additional processing time before the refund appears.
A client who believes a charge was made in error should email hello@commonspacecoaching.com promptly so the matter can be investigated before a payment dispute is initiated.
No guarantee of results
Common Space Coaching does not guarantee particular grades, academic outcomes, admissions decisions, accommodations, behavioral changes, or other results. Progress depends on many factors, including participation, follow-through, school and family circumstances, other supports, and individual needs.
Privacy and parent or sponsor communication
Parents of minor clients may receive appropriate general information about goals, participation, skills being practiced, broad progress, and ways to support learning. They do not generally receive a detailed account of every conversation. Adult students decide what information may be shared with a parent or sponsor, except when disclosure is required or permitted by law or because of a safety concern.
Privacy expectations and limits are described more fully in the coaching agreement and the website privacy policy.
Emergency limitations
Common Space Coaching is not an emergency or crisis service, and communications are not monitored continuously. For an immediate safety or medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than waiting for a coaching response.
Website use
The website is provided for general information. Submitting an inquiry does not create a coaching relationship or guarantee acceptance as a client. Website content may not be reproduced or commercially distributed without permission, except as permitted by law.
Colorado law
These website terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
